Harsco Corporation is a diversified, worldwide industrial company based in the United States. Harsco operates in 35 countries and employs approximately 12,300 people worldwide. The company provides industrial services and engineered products that serve large industries, including steel, railways, and energy. The 2013 revenues totaled $2.8 billion, 60% of which were generated internationally. Harsco is headquartered in Camp Hill, a suburb of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Harsco was founded in 1853 as The Harrisburg Car Manufacturing Company and became the Harrisburg Steel Corporation in 1935. Following a series of acquisitions, the company became Harsco Corporation in 1956.

Harsco operates three primary businesses.

Harsco Metals & Minerals: Onsite services to metal-producing operations and a provider of recycling solutions for industrial byproducts.

Harsco Rail: Railway track maintenance and new track construction services, equipment and support.

Harsco Industrial: Industrial products for the energy and energy-related markets. Harsco Air-X-Changers offers air-cooled heat exchangers for natural gas compression and pipeline distribution. Harsco IKG offers steel grating for industrial and commercial flooring and safety walkways. Harsco Patterson-Kelley offers boilers and hot water systems for large commercial and institutional buildings.

Harsco reported total sales of USD $2.8 billion in fiscal year 2013.

Harsco is traded publicly on NYSE with ticker symbol HSC.
